We also mention the largest submerged cave system in the world, geothermal exploration in Poland, worldwide volcanic activity, and the upcoming World Soil Day. We also will mention the conclusion of the ARC-15 conference which was a super success with over 360 participants from 20 countries in Kathmandu, Nepal with 217 presentations!!

The world has been active geologically this past week with a deadly landslide in a gold mine in the Congo, an eruption of the Sakurajm volcano in Japan and an explanation of all of the earthquakes recently near the island of Santorini.
