Design and construction of the Brooklyn landfill, Victoria

During 1992, an inert (non putrescible) landfill was implemented for Cleanaway at their site in Brooklyn. Victoria. Involvement with this project included a hydrogeolgical assessment of the site followed by a design and construct phase and now continues in the form of ongoing consultation for landfill and water management. This paper discusses this interesting project and looks at design issues relevant to the implementation of an inert landfill.
