Technical And Economical Optimisation Of Foundation And Ground Improvement Systems
P. Adam Zakrzewski, MSc.Eng (Civil) MIEAust, RPEQ, NER
Adam will discuss a range of pile geometries, installation methods and their trade-offs in order to conceptually brainstorm the ideal – the most cost effective, safest and sustainable deep foundation solution.
Would such a system even be possible? Would an optimal pile topology lead to an impractical and over-expensive installation process?
During the talk, Adam will share his experience with tools and systems used to optimise pile topology. He will discuss the combination of existing installation techniques which could lead to drastic reduction in cost and risk profile. The proposed method could not only enable formation of “theoretically ideal” piles but additionally improve the surrounding soil and provide a higher level of confidence regarding design performance and safety.
We look forward to a stimulating, insightful and thought-provoking discussion!
