On the Torrens to Darlington project Andy brings a wealth of construction knowledge to the practical application of underground tunnelling techniques in a variety of ground conditions. He is intimately familiar with the ground risks, selection of equipment and successful delivery of high-risk underground projects around the world. He brings unparalleled expertise to the design and construction of tunnelling and underground projects in the East Asia and Australian region. He is a former branch president of the IOM3 in Hong Kong, former chairman of the HK Tunnel Society, and is currently serving as a committee member of the ATS SA Chapter.

Andy has over 40 years’ experience in managing large scale and complex tunnelling and infrastructure projects, with knowledge of a range of tunnelling methods in different ground conditions. Experienced in TBM tunnel excavation as well as hard rock drill and blast operations and is also experienced in soft ground tunnelling using mechanical and hand excavation methods. He has also led various projects during construction stage for metro stations, railway and highway tunnels, as well as mining, water, sewage and cable tunnels and shafts.
