Ground improvements at Granville Harbour Windfarm
David Raftery
Menard have recently completed the wind turbine foundation works at Granville Harbour Windfarm, utilising their specialist Ground Improvement techniques to support 27 turbines. The works involved utilisation of the Controlled Modulus Column (CMC) technique. The presentation will follow the design process, including the impact of potentially collapsible soils identified during the geotechnical investigation, and finish with the installation and onsite verification for the work. An outline of the talk is given below.
- Introduction to Menard
