AGS QLD are pleased to present their annual full day Symposium Event for 2018 – This year’s event is aimed at presenting details of innovative geotechnical investigation, design and construction techniques adopted within recent major infrastructure projects recently undertaken in QLD.
The 2018 AGS QLD Symposium has deliberately re-focussed on the current state of the various geomechanics industries within Queensland and is aimed at highlighting recent innovations being employed within major projects.
Presenters from across the industry – including Clients, Regulators, Consultants, Suppliers and Contractors – will share innovative design approaches, investigation technologies and construction solutions used to deliver efficient geotechnical outcomes within a number of the significant infrastructure projects recently completed throughout Queensland.
This year’s event also sees a number of changes to the recent symposium events – with a new host venue and the inclusion of a number of younger presenters to make shorter presentations within the technical program. We hope these changes make the event more inclusive for all attendees and provide a forum for discussion on the current state of practice within QLD. The 2018 event completes the recent symposium series that have looked at the past, present and future of geotechnics.
Engineers Australia members participating in AGS technical sessions can record attendance on their personal CPD logs. Members should refer to Engineers Australia CPD policy for details on CPD types, requirements and auditing guidelines.
