2022 AGS Victoria AGM and Annual Dinner
The Victoria Chapter of the Australian Geomechanics Society invites you to its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 30 November 2022 followed by its Annual Dinner.
The AGM is only open to AGS members, who can attend for free and vote on the election of committee members. The dinner is a separate paid event.
During the AGM the Chair, Daniel King, will summarise the Chapter’s activities throughout the year and committee members for 2023 will be nominated.

“A 45 year journey in the blink of an eye”
Roger Olds has been a geotechnical consultant for his entire professional life, since graduating from Monash in 1978. He has broad geotechnical experience in a wide range of projects including roads, rail lines, bridges, airports, dams, buildings, excavations, tunnels, marine structures, and landslip studies. He has worked in all states of Australia and overseas in Canada and Asia. Much of his work has involved delivering innovative solutions for design and construction projects. From 2000 to 2010 he worked on alliance contracts and provided technical inputs to risks and opportunities, as well as being an Alliance Board Member. He has extensive project and general management experience and was Managing Director of Coffey International Ltd from 1996 until March 2011 when he retired from Coffey and set up his own consulting practice. Since then, he has worked with contractor and developer clients to assist in producing practical solutions to their challenges. In 2017, he began consulting to Tonkin+Taylor to assist their growth in Australia.
