2018 Annual General Meeting

Social event and annual general meeting

Janet Leitch, OAM

AGS members and their partners are cordially invited to our annual social event and 2018 Annual General Meeting to be held at the Singh Thai Restaurant, 33 Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide, on Monday 19th November 2018. The social event starts at 6:30pm and the AGM at 7:30 pm.

This year’s event is to be held at the Singh Thai restaurant, 33 Hindmarsh Square (NW corner), and will feature a three course Thai banquet (cost approx. $40 per head, exc. drinks), a short AGM, and an illuminated presentation by Janet Leitch OAM about her experiences walking the pilgrim trails of Europe.

At the AGM a vote will be taken to determine the membership of the 2019 committee. All members of the AGS are invited to attend and nominate for committee membership. Office bearers will be elected from amongst the committee members at a meeting early in 2019. After the AGM Janet Leitch OAM will give an illuminated talk about her experiences walking Europe’s pilgrim trails (see accompanying flier)

The work of the committee typically includes organising technical meetings, training courses, seminars and field trips. Membership of the committee is a great way of getting leadership skills, enhancing your reputation in the profession and meeting other geotechnical engineers, including some of the world’s best.

Engineers Australia members participating in AGS technical sessions can record attendance on their personal CPD logs. Members should refer to Engineers Australia CPD policy for details on CPD types, requirements and auditing guidelines.
